LUCKY MACDUCK DAY 2025
Lucky MacDuck Day is a fundraiser that supports philanthropic grants for the arts and art education projects in the Gratiot County area.

Lucky MacDuck is back for 2025 with a new start time!
- We are excited to see you all again. This year will see a few changes to our exciting lineup of activities.
- Festivities begin at 2:00pm with kid’s activities and entertainment, including the Alma High School Jazz Band!
- Our Just Ducky Shoppe is now located at Ballyhoo Books in downtown Alma. On the day of Lucky MacDuck Race you can join us in Highland Park location at the Alma Public Library. Grab some souvenirs before you head home!
- We will have a variety of instruments on consignment. If you or a family member is looking to pick up a new hobby, this is a great way to purchase your first instrument.
Lucky MacDuck Race:
- Be part of the competition by adopting a duck for the race. All it takes is one lucky duck to win the grand prize of $500 or one of over 50 other prizes.
- Duck Adoptions are available at Alma Farmers Market and Ballyhoo Books and on site until 3:00 PM race time.
- Duck adoptions are:
- $5.00 each
- Quackpack of 6 for $25.00
- Baker’s Dozen for $50.00
- Flock of 30 for $120.00
- Race begins at 3:30 PM
50-50 Raffle
- A 50-50 raffle will be drawn at 4:00 p.m., with the winner taking home half of the proceeds of the raffle. Purchasers do not need to be present to win.
Quacktivities: Wristbands available, $5
- Dance Mini-Classes
- Face Painting
- Crafts such as sand art, slime, and other make-and-take projects
- Play Games
- Pose for a photo as a Highland Dance Duck
Art Show
- The Alma Artists Guild will display work by several local artists and artisans.
- Paintings, jewelry, pottery, and note cards will be be on display and for sale.

All proceeds of the Lucky MacDuck Family Fun Day support the Pine River Arts Council grants to local organizations in the areas of music, visual arts, performing arts, and writing. The PRAC has donated over $90,000 to the Gratiot County community over the past 21 years.
